A Moveable Feast

An independent wine merchant; consultancy service; and tasting events organiser, now also offering tailor-made guided vineyard tours to top estates in Northern Italy.

Consultancy & Private Tastings:
Having installed your wine cellar you will want to start filling it and our independent consultancy service offers not only astute advice but also an all-inclusive, personalised 'wine experience'.

This includes an initial consultation to ascertain your preferred wine styles and budget range, from which a basic cellar plan can be devised; and regular private tastings of specific regions and grape varieties to broaden your palate, and build a portfolio of Tasting Notes.

Tastings:
These sessions form the basis of our consultancy service and we believe lay the foundations for a greater and more sincere wine appreciation. They also provide a great opportunity to entertain friends and colleagues as sessions are informative but informal, and aim to improve your confidence as a consumer as much as your knowledge as an enthusiast. Through them, you will also learn about the latest wine releases and opportunities for wine investment; suggested food and wine pairing; deciphering wine lists and distinguishing between vintages; and special offers from featured producers.

All wines tasted will be available to buy and will be delivered directly to your new cellar. Base Price: £30 - £50 ex vat per person (minimum 7 people, includes wine, tasting notes, glasses, and other equipment)

Corporate Tastings:
With its exclusive range of Boutique Italian Wines, a moveable feast nurtures a passion for unusual, often unknown varieties and regions, the quality of whose wines will surprise your clients and make your event memorably different (see themes below).

Examples include an evening tutored wine tasting, either in house or at a central restaurant's private room with 6-8 different wines for 6-25 clients, including a selection of breads, charcuterie and cheese paired to the wines. NB - For an extra charge we can arrange for a very good caterer to provide an enhanced canape selection if required.

Some suggested themes are:

'Modern Classics of Northern Italy'
Including: Roero Arneis, Malvasia, Rifosco, Lagrein alongside other, international varieties.

'Settentrione Set-up'
Classic Burgundy, Bordeaux and Loire wines matched against the best of Alto Adige, Trentino and Friuli.

'Bordeaux vs Barolo'
A red-dominated evening exploring different vintages of these two historic regions, finishing with a Sauternes/Passito comparison.

'Bourgogne and Beyond'
Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from around the world.

Base Price: £400 - £1200 ex vat. NB this does not include venue hire (if required) and/or extra catering beyond that mentioned above.

Wine Tours:
Offered as all-inclusive (on the ground) weekend breaks or comprising a section of your extended holiday to the region. All wine, food, estate visits and tastings, accommodation, airport transfers, and transport to and from the estates are included in the price. Available for groups of 6-8 with current destinations including Piedmont; The Veneto, Trentino and Alto Adige; and Friuli.
