Visit our London Showcase cellar
Spiral Cellars’ flagship showcase space in Putney, south west London, is conveniently located by East Putney tube station, and is designed to provide the opportunity to view and experience a 3m White Spiral Cellar with retractable round glass door, within a residential setting. The White Spiral Cellar is positioned at the centre of a dining and entertaining space, and features an internal LED lighting scheme to create a real focal point.
Visitors are welcomed by one of the directors of the business and are able to go down into the cellar to truly experience it, something that we know is key to potential clients when investing in such a system. It is also a great opportunity to have any questions answered face to face before progressing with a site survey or order.

Book a Site Survey
For retro-fit installations
If you are considering having your own Spiral Cellar, we offer a no-obligation visit where our surveyor will visit your home (or meet with the architect and/or builder in the case of a new build home or extension) and advise you on the best location for your cellar. We will also perform a basic ‘site survey’ by identifying the position of load bearing walls, drains, gas and electric services underground where possible. Call us on 0845 241 2764 to book.
We will then provide an estimate tailored to your installation requirements. When you are ready to proceed we will provisionally book an installation date that is convenient to you. Our installation teams are generally booked up to 12 weeks in advance, so please invite us to carry out a site survey well in advance of your installation date. Once a date is booked, and the deposit received, our engineer prepares the calculations and applies for Building Regulations Approval. Listed buildings applications are made prior to an installation date being confirmed as they require at least 3 months to process and gain approval.
For fit only installations
If you are having other building work done in parallel with the cellar installation (e.g. conservatory or extension please contact us as early as possible in the design stage of the project. Please send drawings in pdf format (detailed plans, elevations and site plans) showing a north point and key dimensions to info@spiralcellars.com. Please also annotate the ideal cellar location. We will review these plans and advise if the proposed cellar location is suitable.
Once you have advised us of the cellar type required (Original or White, depth, and trap door) we will prepare a quotation. To place an order we will require a 10% deposit. If timings have been agreed, we will book the installation into our schedule (please note that we generally work to a 12 week lead time) and we will attempt to fit with the contractor's programme.
We will then prepare the structural calculations package. This determines the excavation depth and contains the information required for the Building Regulations Application. These will either be forwarded onto the person responsible for submitting the master application or we will handle it on your behalf.
The steel hole protection rings can be shipped to site ready for the hole excavation, along with the structural calculations package containing the excavation dimensions.
Once the hole is dug, our Project Manager will visit site to confirm the site and excavation are ready for our team’s arrival. Our team will then arrive at the site on the agreed date, remove the hole cover and fit the cellar.
