State of the art integrated security and entertainment systems, dressing rooms, his and hers bathrooms, outdoor kitchens... the luxury house buyer’s wish list gets ever longer... and nowadays, it includes a wine cellar. We know because we sell 200 Spiral Cellars a year in the UK and are scaling up to keep pace with demand.
More and more people are collecting and enjoying fine wine. They want to keep it at home and a wine cabinet takes up a lot of room but does not provide enough storage. Even our smallest Spiral Cellar will take 1000 bottles and it won’t eat into useable floor space.
Add a Spiral Cellar to your list of optional extras! Incorporating a Spiral Cellar at the construction stage is the most cost-efficient and least-disruptive method and we’ve devised a methodology which won’t load a major upfront cost onto you.
So how would it work for you, practically and financially?
We recommend that the hole for the Spiral Cellar is dug at groundworks stage. Once demolition work has been undertaken, and new foundations set, whilst the excavator is still on site, the circular hole for the cellar is excavated. The 2.5m diameter and up to 3.5m deep hole will take no more than a few hours. We will provide a steel shuttering set for you to insert into the hole to keep it safe. This will cost you £1500 (including our engineering fees for the calculations).
You then continue with the build in the normal way. We can accommodate all floor constructions, ground bearing slab, block & beam, suspended timber etc. (please ask for our datasheets for floor build ups).
