THE WINE STORAGE CALLENGE:
All over the UK, a growing number of people are collecting and enjoying wine. For many, their own wine cellar is a long held dream and when they come to you for a design for their house or new extension, they may well have a cellar on their wish list. They have found that keeping it in bond is costly and can mean they miss out on actually enjoying their wine. They realise wine cabinets take up a lot of room and do not provide enough storage. A full blown conventional basement cellar may be just too expensive or impossible for some reason.
What is the solution?
Even our smallest Spiral Cellar will take 1000 bottles and it won’t eat into useable floor area... a real bonus when you are trying to maximise space. Our largest flag ship cellar stores a staggering 1900 bottles (over 150 cases).
But it’s not all about the wine...
We sell 200 cellars a year in the UK (and are scaling up to meet demand!) but not just to wine buffs. For some, the cellar is a design statement, providing a show-stopping feature in a room.

Incorporating a Spiral Cellar at the construction stage of a new building or extension is the most cost-efficient and least-disruptive method but we are also wholly accustomed to retro-fits in existing space. We can accommodate all floor construction types (please ask for our datasheets for floor build ups).
We have a wide range of doors with models which can take pretty much any flooring from timber to stone or ceramic tiles, allowing the cellar to ‘vanish’. The glass doors, including the dazzling fully retractable version, allow the client to make their wine collection a real feature in a room.
The cellar can be further customised to tie in with an interior scheme with leather treads in a selection of colours or treads from the full Amtico or Karndean range.
Finally, if your customer really wants to draw attention to their gorgeous new cellar, then the addition of LED lighting will provide dramatic emphasis to the elegance of the spiral staircase.
We can do every stage from digging the hole to finishing the cellar or the contractor can dig the hole and we fit the cellar usually at first fix stage of the project.
