Some Brunello's to lay down from Quintessentially Wine

Quintessentially Wine

2005 Non Confunditor, Argiano, Tuscany, Italy.
£15.85 per bottle, £190.20 per case.
Non Con has never been on finer form than in the 2005 vintage.  Made by Brunello di Montepulciano kings Argiano, this is a ‘Super-Tuscan’ wine, made from Sangiovese, Cabernet, Merlot and Syrah.  It grabs your taste buds and never lets go.  The baby brother to ‘Solengo’, Argiano’s world famous, super-expensive red. This wine is drinking beautifully now but can easily be cellared for another 5 years.

2004 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva, Salicutti, Piaggione, Tuscany, Italy
£49.95 per bottle, £599.40 per case 12.
The 2004 Salicutti Reserva is a stunning wine. The classic hallmarks of a great Brunello are here in what is a stunning vintage; rich juicy Cherries, spicy tobacco aromas and oodles of ripe fruit. The ‘04 is just starting its 15 years drinking life but fend off the temptation and leave this for another 5 years before you crack into the case. The tannins will soften out and you will be rewarded with a sliky smooth, elegant and amazingly well rounded wine.

2006 Barolo, Domenico Clerico, Ciabot Mentin Ginestra, Tuscany, Italy
£72.50 per bottle, £870.00 per case.
The 2006 Barolo Clerico will drink for another 20 years without batting an eye. Domenico Clerico is a true master and this vintage is an absolute classic. Tonnes of brooding flavours; plums and sweet spices fill the palate but don’t over power the more delicate and elegant minerality in this luscious red. Lay this down as it will drink well into the late 2020’s.
