Instructions for laying timber flooring in and around the recessed door

• Depending on the thickness of timber, the flooring should be rebated over the door frame to hide the stainless steel frame.
• A cut out should be made for the hinges to suit.
• Flooring on the door should be planed down such that with adhesive, the combined thickness is 18mm to achieve the same finished floor level (FFL).
• Timber should be adhered to the door using the recommended adhesive/fixings by the flooring supplier.
• Flooring (as recommended by manufacturers) should be unpacked and allowed to fully acclimatise in the room prior to installation.
• Spiral Cellars will set the hinges of the door to the FFL given during the installation.
• The floor layer should rebate the handle into the flooring (Spiral Cellars will not do this).
